Not sure if this has been requested before, but a feature that I think would tremendously speed up and help organize collections.
What:
A check mark toggle in 'Add a New Car' search which allows you to select whether or not you want to search within your collection, or within the whole database. Perhaps the opposite toggle (Not in collection) as well. Preferably near the beginning of search options for ease of use, as I expect this would be a highly useful addition.
Why:
  • Collection organization: When you hit hundreds or thousands of car counts as I have, finding which versions you have of a model is difficult to track. This is a simple way to condense search options and thin out which you have from which you need.
  • Duplicates Management: Lately the biggest thing I've been doing within the app is consolidating my models from duplicate entries to only one of a type/color [that might explain why there's a discrepancy between my collection count (5,078) and the displayed count as well (4,190)]. A toggle like this would make this process exponentially faster
  • Ease of search when hunting: To check if I have a car while hunting stores, a toggle like this would make seeing exactly what I have significantly quicker, particularly as more makes are to be added to the app.
